NIGERDELTAGIST NEWS

Ekeremor Local Government Area witnessed a historic political awakening as the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC stormed the region in a grand outing that left no doubt about the party’s growing dominance and grassroots acceptance.

The event, which took place in Ekeremor main town, featured the official inauguration of Ward Executives across the LGA and the commissioning of the NDC LGA Secretariat, a strategic move that further cements the party’s structural presence and operational strength in Bayelsa West.

Leading the charge was the NDC LGA Chairman Ebide Brown who stood alongside an array of respected elders and political stakeholders including Suru Oyaredei, Mark Ayoro, Ebi Afesuku, Prince-Simeon Epebifiye, and Pius Jonah.

Also present were key mobilizers and youth-driven forces within the party including Ebilade Ekerefe, Youth Leader of NDC Bayelsa State, Atti J Moses, Director of Students Mobilization, alongside LGA executives and stakeholders committed to the party’s vision.

The State Chairman of the NDC Dauprebo Ikuromo was ably represented by Okoro P. S., Vice Chairman of NDC Bayelsa West, whose presence underscored the importance of the event at the state level.

What stood out most was the overwhelming turnout. From market women to youths, elders, traders, and community leaders, the people of Ekeremor came out in their numbers united, energized, and resolute. The sea of supporters adorned in NDC branded attire and symbols sent a clear and unmistakable message that Ekeremor is NDC. The atmosphere was electric, filled with chants, solidarity gestures, and renewed political consciousness, making the gathering not just an event but a movement in motion.

In contrast to the noise of opposition politics, the NDC continues to distinguish itself as a party grounded in ideology, discipline, and people oriented engagement. While other political actors resort to media attacks, smear campaigns, and sponsored propaganda, the NDC remains unwavering in its mission of mobilizing the grassroots, spreading its ideology, and building a structure that reflects the will of the people. The growing wave of sponsored attacks against the NDC and its leadership is not a sign of weakness but rather a confirmation of strength and rising influence.

The position of the NDC remains firm and unambiguous. Every political party should present its candidates and allow the people to decide at the ballot. The NDC is ready, not for distractions, but for democracy.

With the successful inauguration of Ward Executives and the commissioning of the LGA Secretariat, the NDC has once again demonstrated its readiness for the future organized, united, and deeply rooted in the people. Ekeremor has spoken, the movement is growing, and the message is clear that the NDC is not just a party but a force.
